  2. Chapter 2My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
  3. Chapter 3Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
  4. Chapter 4Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
  5. Chapter 5Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
