Chapter 1The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
Chapter 2And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Chapter 3Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
Chapter 4And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
Chapter 5But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
Chapter 6And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Chapter 7Then said the high priest, Are these things so?
Chapter 8And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Chapter 9And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
Chapter 10There was a certain man in Cesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Chapter 11And the apostles and brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
Chapter 12Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
Chapter 13Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
Chapter 14And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
Chapter 15And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Chapter 16Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
Chapter 17Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:
Chapter 18After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
Chapter 19And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
Chapter 20And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
Chapter 21And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
Chapter 22Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
Chapter 23And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
Chapter 24And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
Chapter 25Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Cesarea to Jerusalem.
Chapter 26Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
Chapter 27And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus’ band.
Chapter 28And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
