Genesis 11:22
“And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:”
KJV
Read in Genesis 11Meaning
Serug fathers Nahor at age thirty, bringing the genealogy within two generations of Terah.
Read carefully
This Nahor is Abram's grandfather; a later Nahor, Terah's son and Abram's brother, is a different person with the same name.
Reflection
Repeated family names remind readers to follow relationships carefully as the narrative becomes more personal.
