Genesis 17:6
“And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”
KJV
Read in Genesis 17Meaning
God promises to make Abraham exceedingly fruitful, with nations and kings coming from him.
Read carefully
The reference to nations and kings belongs to the ancient genealogical promise and does not confer automatic legitimacy on any modern ruler or state.
Reflection
The verse presents a future larger than Abraham can yet see, reinforcing the narrative theme of promise preceding visible fulfillment.
