Genesis 19:7
“And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.”
KJV
Read in Genesis 19Meaning
The scene depicts collective coercion and threatened sexual assault as grave violence, not as acceptable sexual behavior.
Read carefully
Lot's offer of his daughters is reported without moral endorsement; it must not be defended, normalized, or imitated.
Reflection
Readers should center the threatened victims, reject sexual violence, and distinguish the narrator's report from moral approval.
