Genesis 5:25

“And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:”

KJV

Meaning

At 187 years Methuselah fathers Lamech, restoring the familiar genealogical rhythm after Enoch's unusual entry.

The age marker is reported without interpretation; claims attaching hidden predictions to the number go beyond the text.

The family line continues after an exceptional divine encounter, returning the reader to ordinary succession toward Noah.
