Genesis 9:22
“And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.”
KJV
Read in Genesis 9Meaning
Ham sees Noah exposed and reports the situation to his brothers rather than covering his father himself.
Read carefully
Interpretations that add a specific sexual act go beyond what this verse explicitly states; the Hebrew wording has generated debate, so claims should be qualified.
Reflection
The contrast in the scene centers on what the sons do with another person's vulnerability and shame.
