  1. Chapter 1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
  2. Chapter 2Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
  3. Chapter 3Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
  4. Chapter 4Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
  5. Chapter 5For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
  6. Chapter 6Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
  7. Chapter 7For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
  8. Chapter 8Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
  9. Chapter 9Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
  10. Chapter 10For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
  11. Chapter 11Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
  12. Chapter 12Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
  13. Chapter 13Let brotherly love continue.
