  1. Chapter 1There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
  2. Chapter 2Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
  3. Chapter 3After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
  4. Chapter 4Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
  5. Chapter 5Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
  6. Chapter 6But Job answered and said,
  7. Chapter 7Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
  8. Chapter 8Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  9. Chapter 9Then Job answered and said,
  10. Chapter 10My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
  11. Chapter 11Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
  12. Chapter 12And Job answered and said,
  13. Chapter 13Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
  14. Chapter 14Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
  15. Chapter 15Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
  16. Chapter 16Then Job answered and said,
  17. Chapter 17My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
  18. Chapter 18Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  19. Chapter 19Then Job answered and said,
  20. Chapter 20Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
  21. Chapter 21But Job answered and said,
  22. Chapter 22Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
  23. Chapter 23Then Job answered and said,
  24. Chapter 24Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
  25. Chapter 25Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
  26. Chapter 26But Job answered and said,
  27. Chapter 27Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  28. Chapter 28Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.
  29. Chapter 29Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  30. Chapter 30But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
  31. Chapter 31I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
  32. Chapter 32So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
  33. Chapter 33Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
  34. Chapter 34Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
  35. Chapter 35Elihu spake moreover, and said,
  36. Chapter 36Elihu also proceeded, and said,
  37. Chapter 37At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
  38. Chapter 38Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
  39. Chapter 39Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
  40. Chapter 40Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said,
  41. Chapter 41Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
  42. Chapter 42Then Job answered the Lord, and said,
