Psalm 103:2
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”
KJV
Read in Psalm 103Meaning
Within “Bless the Lord and remember his benefits,” verse 2 commands the soul not to forget God's benefits, making grateful memory the engine of praise; this detail advances the unit's argument and should not be detached from the whole psalm.
Read carefully
Read Psalm 103:2 inside its literary unit and the movement of Psalm 103; its imagery and claims are constrained by that context.
