Psalm 136:15
“But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
KJV
Read in Psalm 136Meaning
The Exodus unit closes with the defeat of the oppressive military power pursuing Israel.
Read carefully
It recalls a specific Exodus event and does not authorize private revenge or modern political violence.
Reflection
Hope for the end of oppression without turning the verse into a warrant for personal revenge.
