Psalm 59:1
“Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.”
KJV
Read in Psalm 59Meaning
The prayer begins from real threat, not abstract anxiety. The psalmist asks God to become a secure height above aggressors rather than taking private revenge into his own hands.
Read carefully
The prayer seeks protection because the danger is real; faith can accompany concrete steps toward safety.
Reflection
Ask God for protection while also using appropriate practical, legal, pastoral, medical, or emergency support.
