Psalm 60:5
“That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.”
KJV
Read in Psalm 60Meaning
The language of being beloved grounds the plea in relationship, not superiority. The request comes before the territorial oracle and keeps the focus on dependence upon God rather than entitlement to dominate others.
Read carefully
The psalm itself arises from defeat; beloved status supports prayerful dependence, not a guarantee of uninterrupted success.
Reflection
Pray specifically for rescue while also using lawful, practical, medical, pastoral, or emergency help when needed.
