Psalm 89:2
“For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.”
KJV
Read in Psalm 89Meaning
The verse gives cosmic durability to the qualities on which the Davidic covenant rests.
Read carefully
The same psalm later describes profound instability while appealing to that faithfulness.
Reflection
Anchor prayer in God's character rather than treating present instability as the whole story.
