Abraham
Abraham is the patriarch whom God called from his homeland and to whom God gave promises concerning land, descendants, and blessing for the nations. Genesis presents both his trust and his failures: he obeyed the call to go, believed God's promise, entered covenant, interceded for others, and was tested in the command concerning Isaac.
