Moses
Moses is the central human leader of the exodus and Sinai narratives. Raised in Pharaoh's household after being rescued from the Nile, he fled Egypt and was later called by God at the burning bush to confront Pharaoh. Through Moses, Israel was led out of slavery, received the covenant law at Sinai, and journeyed toward the promised land. Scripture also remembers his unique prophetic role, his intercession, and his close communion with God.
