Genesis 7:14
“They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.”
KJV
Read in Genesis 7Meaning
The ark receives wild animals, livestock, ground-moving creatures, and birds according to their kinds.
Read carefully
Kinds is an ancient narrative classification term and should not be equated automatically with a modern taxonomic rank.
Reflection
The preservation scene deliberately includes a wide span of creature life, not only Noah's human household.
