Genesis 7:9
“There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.”
KJV
Read in Genesis 7Meaning
The animals enter in pairs with Noah, matching the command God had given before the flood.
Read carefully
This verse summarizes the paired entry and should be read alongside the more detailed clean-animal numbers in 7:2-3.
Reflection
The repeated correspondence between command and fulfillment gives the preparation scene a deliberate order.
