Psalm 72:10
“The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.”
KJV
Read in Psalm 72Meaning
Within “Wide royal horizon,” verse 10 pictures kings from far coasts and lands bringing gifts and tribute to the ideal ruler; this detail advances the unit's argument and should not be detached from the whole psalm.
Read carefully
Read Psalm 72:10 inside its literary unit and the movement of Psalm 72; its imagery and claims are constrained by that context.
Reflection
Respond to the verse's specific emphasis — pictures kings from far coasts and lands bringing gifts and tribute to the ideal ruler — while reading it together with the surrounding lines of Psalm 72.
